Typical Application for the A10
Infrared Cameras that are used for Surveillance do not normally need to exhibit the accuracy or have the sophistication that is required in other fields. Actual temperature measurement is not necessary as the important task is to identify threats, or simply to monitor movement, in conditions of poor visibility. Infrared Surveillance Cameras will either be hand held or used in a static location where images are sent to a distant control point. Typical application include Perimeter Protection, Asset Tracking and remote monitoring. |

The
ThermoVision A10 is a rugged and very compact low-cost
infrared imager. It is designed for those applications
that require excellent thermal image quality, compact
size and low weight but where exact temperature
measurements are not needed. This unique, robust little
camera is perfect for stand-alone imaging applications,
or as an OEM core where space, weight and/or power are
constraints and performance is critical. It is ideal for
industrial process monitoring, fire
detection/prevention, robotics, machine vision, and
security and surveillance applications. ThermoVision A10
is the world’s smallest infrared camera – yet it
delivers performance and features typically only found
on larger, much more expensive infrared systems.
ThermoVision A10 Features
|
High Sensitivity Detection
The ThermoVision A10 contains the
industry’s most advanced on-focal plane signal processing, DSP-based
electronics, and real-time algorithms that combine with a fully
optimised 160 x 128 pixel focal plane array to deliver image quality
that is visually comparable to larger arrays. As a result, the
ThermoVision A10 can utilize higher f-number optics, minimizing both
weight and cost. With its standard f/1.6 lens, the camera delivers a
NETD of <85 mK.
Gigabit Ethernet Interface And Researcher™ Software Compatibility
An optional Gigabit Ethernet interface
box is available for the ThermoVision A10 which allows easy interfacing
with a PC to acquire digital video without a framegrabber and with FLIR
Systems ThermaCAM Researcher software.
Wide Range Of Accessories
Wide-angle and close-up lenses are
available. In the world of infrared applications, one camera does not
necessarily fit all. Why pay the price in terms of size, power or cost
for features and functions that are not needed? ThermoVision A10 attacks
this front with a highly modular, flexible architecture that support a
wide variety of features, options and accessories. This allows users to
configure the right camera for their application. |
|
14-Bit Processing For Excellent Dynamic Range
The ThermoVision A10 delivers wide
dynamic range (14-bit) images at 30 Hz (for RS-170) or at 25 Hz (for
CCIR). An optional auto ranging function detects very hot scenes and
automatically switches into an extended temperature range mode allowing
imaging scenes up to +400 °C. All settings are stored in non-volatile
memory to enable optimised portable use.
No Thermo-Electric Cooler, Low Power Consumption
The ThermoVision A10 has a proprietary
image optimisation system which pre-processes image data and eliminates
the need for temperature stabilization of the array. This enables the
A10 to operate over a wide ambient temperature range without the
complexity and power consumption of a thermo-electric cooler. The
absence of a TE cooler also yields a fast turn on time, which can be
critical in “on demand” applications.
Easy Operation: Plug And Play
Simply connect the camera to a monitor
and produce high quality infrared images. The camera can be fully
controlled from a PC or by using an IPAQ handheld personal digital
assistant. |
